4. AI PROCESSING DISCLOSURE (OpenAI & Google Gemini)
Shopedge uses AI to generate explanations, comparisons, and analytics summaries. We use:

Data sent to AI providers:
- Metrics retrieved from Shopify, Meta, Google Ads, GA4
- Your query text
- Derived aggregated performance numbers
Data NOT sent:
- Raw customer PII (names, emails, addresses)
- Full order or customer datasets

This meets industry-standard AI compliance and Shopify’s AI guidance. In addition to the transient processing by AI providers, we store a copy of your queries and the Assistant’s responses as chat history in our own systems. This is done solely to:
- show you past conversations,
- provide context for follow-up questions, and
- ensure security, abuse monitoring, and debugging.
This stored chat history is not used to train OpenAI or Google Gemini models.
